I will be posting on a regular basis information which will not only help you on your way to becoming an effective marketer but get there faster without having to scoure the internet for all the information.
The most important thing to have is a list, for the uninitiated it is a mailing list or customer list. You cannot do anything without customers or visitors coming back to your website seeing what you have to say.
You also have to provide good quality information that is of benefit to your visitors and when you have built up a relationship with them turn them into customers, long term customers at that.
The goal is to make sure your list always comes back to your website or is actively interested in your newsletter/blog postings which helps them solve a problem or find a way to solve a problem.
I am starting off with the basic building block of how to build your list I will at the end of the post send you to a site which will give you access to excellent information to get you started in the basics of listbuilding.
On the site you will have access to video’s which will show you step-by-step how to go about getting things going and learning the fundamentals of listbuilding. This information is free and is provided by the most successful specialists in this area.
You will be shown how to create a landing/squeeze page with an opt-in box with which you capture the name and e-mail address.
To capture this information you need a autoresponder. I will be discussing autoresponders in another email but first need to start with the listbuilding.
Once you have the mail address you can then start building your relationship with your list and send them the information that they came to your site to find.
As an example I will discuss my website which is http://www.dragonsgatemarketing.com.
- When you arrived you were greeted by a landing page.
- This was an introduction to my website and what information you could expect.
- The option was to enter your name and e-mail address in the Opt-in box.
- This information was captured by the autoresponder code on the webpage and entered into the database.
- I use the autoresponder to send out this message to you.
The actual landing page design is a discussion on its own and this will be covered in another e-mail. I will go over all these components step by step to ensure you have a complete understanding of how the technology works.
